Heading to India from Hong Kong, 3 major flight choices (direct flight) are available.

Unless you've got an urgent meeting in the next day or you prefer not to take a whole day-off at the office, I do recommend you to go for Jet Airways. Personally, I hate to fly at wee hours or to be stuck in heavy traffic after landing.

Jet's cabin condition, food choice and service quality are equally good as Asiana and Emirate. The only shortfall is the departure gate. An airport bus transfer is alwasy required.

Heading to India

As a first-time visitor to India, I opted for the Golden Triangle of India.

The Golden Triangle comprises three of the most visited cities in the country's north-west. They are Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. As these three cities are connected with good roads where the roads form a roughly equilateral triangle with 200-250km along each side, the Golden Triangle becomes a classic introduction to India.

Delhi is the largest metropolis by area and the second-largest metropolis by population in India. Agra was once the heart of the Moghul empire with the unparalleled beauty of the Taj Mahal. Jaipur, the capital of the largely desert state of Rajasthan.

Spending 8 days across these three beautiful cities, my trip was lovely and relaxing.

Climate of India

India has three major seasons. They are Winter, Summer, and the Monsoon.

Winter months (November-March) are bright and pleasant, with snowfall in the northern hills.

Summer time (April-June) is hot in most parts of India. But, the numerous hill resorts do provide cool retreat.

During the Monsoon, rainfall is heavy along the West Coast between June and September, and along the East Coast between mid-October and December.
